Throughout the workshop, you will learn how to apply these techniques to improve your time management, narrow your areas of interest, build your nonprofit resume and cover letter, learn simple techniques to improve your interviews, and boost your confidence.

Philip B.

“With Mark’s help, I was able to upgrade my résumé, refocus my job search and polish my interviewing skills.  Instead of wasting of time going on “practice” interviews for jobs I didn’t want, I have focused on positions I am truly interested in.”

Julie F.

“I am indebted to Mark McCurdy for all of the continued support he has given me through his counsel, resume preparation and follow-up.   With his guidance and  information he was able to make numerous suggestions and educate me on potential positions in the field that might be a good match.  Mark was also able to assist me with making my resume and strategic wording stand out so that I could land the position I wanted in this very difficult economic time. He helped me land a permanent job in a matter of weeks.

Corey N.

“I began to work with Mark as I was beginning to explore moving from the corporate (finance) world to the nonprofit world. He provided invaluable counseling as we worked together over the next few months, initially giving me input on crafting an effective resume and then guiding me through a thought process that helped me clarify my goals and talents. I am pleased to say that I recently accepted a position in a nonprofit organization and I believe that Mark’s efforts were a critical part of my success in reaching that goal. I think that Mark does great work at a very reasonable rate and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to make a transition to the nonprofit world.

Bernice. B

Mark’s seminar was informative, relevant and eye-opening. Speaking with him, he really helped me develop better clarity about my non-profit career goals and guide me towards a solid direction of growth & movement so that I could better accomplish social change in my specific interest area- I highly recommend his seminars & coaching!”

Ashley P.

“I have learned how to target my résumé and cover letter to each employer.  I have My Story, My Elevator Speech and My Questions for Employers rehearsed and ready to go.  This personalized preparation gave me clarification and confidence in my search.”

Angela H.

“I was in the nonprofit world, but not enjoying my position.  I wasn’t sure what the next step would be or even exactly what I wanted to do with my life.  Mark was able to help me sort out my thoughts, strengths, skills and what I genuinely love to do.”

Julie K.

“Mark is an extremely positive and inventive person that motivates you to change the world. His advice was instrumental in helping me secure my current position and more importantly my life’s passion.  Mark is a wonderful colleague and I look forward to working with him for many years to come.”
